His Excellency the Mayor of Beit Jala, Mr. Issa Al-Qassis, participated in the national voluntary campaign to pick olives (Fazaa) with farmers in the Beit Jala area, which was under the patronage of His Excellency the Governor of Bethlehem Governorate, Mr. Muhammad Taha, and in cooperation with the Bethlehem Governorate Agriculture Directorate and the coordinators of the marketing days for its twenty-fourth year, and in the presence of the security establishment, Al-Quds Open University, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and local community institutions. In turn, His Excellency the Mayor, Mr. Issa Al-Qassis, called for supporting farmers during the olive picking season and paying more attention to the land, especially removing weeds that lead to fires and the loss of many olive trees.
